      It was much smaller than I had realized, which isn’t a bad thing if you’re wanting that look. The other thing was I noticed a lot more water was getting in my boots in rainy weather. Other than that, it worked alright.

      Ahhh makes sense. I haven’t noticed the water issue! Awesome video. I have a ton done to my 650 and agree that most of it is relatively unnecessary. I do a lot of offroading though and definitely loved swapping out the tires. That’s probably the only thing I’d say you would want if you spent a ton of time in sand/mud.

    Hope everything goes well and you get well soon! Enjoy your little buddy it don't get any better than that! There's a lot of junk on the handle bars even on those bikes, "biker bits" Mark from Australia did handle bars and used hair spray to lube the grips as they went on because it gets sticky when it dries, but your right if you don't have the patience it just sucks dealing with all the crap on the bars.(never did that just watched tore apart bicycles as a kid but.........)

    It's really easy to jet this bike. No need to remove the carb even, can be done with spinning. At the very least you should remove the plug covering the fuel screw and give it a half turn to a full turn out.

    • @ComfyDadShoes

      Definitely wouldn’t surprise me. Especially if it was parked in the wrong spot. Something like cogon grass would light right up!

  • @bradh74
    @bradh74 Месяц назад

    I saw other videos talking about the thing (Hot header pipe and deceleration popping) and one guy spoke to the factory and was told "it's normal for the header pipe to get hot and glow" because of the "pair system" (I guess it burns unburnt fuel. like a catalytic converter) so he chose to leave it and I believe he adjusted the fuel air ratio but can't remember. The others only had an issue when they changed the exhaust then the had more air so they had to re-jet the carb. It seems counterintuitive to add more fuel but everyone is on the same page with that so like you said "header detonation" is the issue because the exhaust is hot, if I understand all that . My brain doesn't want to accept it! I don't have a bike yet but am hoping when I get straightened out I can get a DR or similar bike. If you're in a state that you don't get e-check you can just take all the emissions crap off! My kids are grown now and when I see a Dad trying to enjoy a bit of his life I have to give you props for hanging in there brother. We need to stick together more! Hang in there don't give up or take "no" for an answer! "Rome wasn't built in a day" so keep plugging away!

    • @ComfyDadShoes
      @ComfyDadShoes Месяц назад

      Amen, brother! 🙏 I really appreciate those positive words! I do think you could cap off the pair connections, then reconnect later, if you have e-checks in your state. Just make sure you also leave the EVAP system intact as well! I remember that being a problem for me when I had a 49 state bike in CA years ago. I agree it definitely does seem counterintuitive like you said. I wasn’t a believer until the pair was gone. But more than anything, thank you again for the encouragement, sir! I definitely will keep putting stuff out there. It takes my mind off of a lot, and hopefully helps some folks in the process. 🍻🤟 have a blessed one!

    Ive been running the warp 9 case saver for almost a year. I cut the oil filter portion at an angle so it is separate but still overlaps the case side. Added a little bit of red rtv for peace of mind. After several unplanned dismounts, its held up very well. The white paint in the letters will come out pretty easily though. Give the lexx pipe a look. As far as sprokets, I'm running 14/46 and turning 6500 @ 75 mph. It's a blast on highways and in the woods but I dont hit the freeway on this bike. The options are huge.

      Check out this 2022 Honda Trail125 shared from the CycleTrader iOS App. This one is in the NC / Winston - Salem. I’m seeing a lot in GA as well. I think a lot of Covid era purchases are coming to market. When you find one, now is definitely a good time to be a buyer!

    Hello Mickey. did the bar risers fit with the acerbis tank? I have the IMS 5 gallon one and want to use those same rox riser anti vibration 2"

      My friend used the same bar with a solid 2” riser with no problems. I’m actually waiting to install them when things warm up and I remove my parabellum windshield and replace it with an adjustable madstad. I’ll probably have to remove the tank to find slack when I add the risers and bar. You can count on me posting a video to review it.
